Hey all,
As you have seen on Sarah's post, it is important for all of us to stay fit and stay healthy during silly times like these. We hope to use this platform to share workout ideas and post-workout nutrition ideas that you can implement into your current schedule.
Today, let us do a Tabata workout! Basically a Tabata workout helps us to improve our overall endurance, strength, and speed. It consists of doing an exercise for 20 seconds (make sure you give it all you got during those 20 seconds!), resting for 10 seconds, and then repeating this for 8 rounds. This would total to around 4 minutes per exercise.
For example, we will do pushups for an exercise. We will first do them for 20 seconds and then rest for 10 seconds. After resting, we will get back to doing pushups and repeat the 20 and 10 seconds for a total of 8 rounds.
Not only is this workout intense, but it is also time-saving and you can always add in more exercises!
Today, I prescribe you the following workout:
1) Squats (4 min)
2) Pushups (4 min)
3) Sit-ups (4 min)
Do them at your own pace. Please rest for 2 to 3 minutes between each exercise. I wish you all good luck during quarantine!
By the way, once you finish your workout, I recommend you consume a carbohydrate source within 30 minutes and a protein source within an hour. This can be a piece of fruit and a protein bar. It can also be cereal and beef jerkey or even replace the cereal with some gatorade.

Take care,
