Turkey Gyros
1/2 small onion
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh Italian parsley
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preheat oven to 350°. Stir gyro meat together and mix. Make 4 thin rectangular loaves, 1/4 inch thick. In nonstick skillet, medium to medium-high heat, cook for about 2 minutes on each side. Place skillet in oven, recommend that one puts the loaves on a foil lined baking pan. Bake 11 to 13 minutes at 350° until no longer pink inside.
Mix all sauce ingredients:
1/2 c. plain non-fat yogurt
2 garlic cloves
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh Italian parsley
1.4 c. fresh cucumber, chopped
Slice Meat thin and serve in pitas with tomato, cucumber, and sauce
