Healthy Snacking for Kids

On January 5, 2024, WAHM hosted an information session at the Loving Tree Academy in Pleasanton, California for students in grades K-3. We taught younger children how to distinguish healthy snacks from unhealthy snacks using the nutrition information. Students learned what type of ingredients are generally healthy and what types weren't healthy. We provided students with Oreos and Trail Mixes to effectively distinguish the two types. The students had a fun time with the lecture and the snacks!
